    SSI-320-232 RS-485 to RS-232 converter
    This converter board is designed to convert the isolated RS-485 communications network between SDC-550 Multiple Door Controllers into industry standard RS-232 serial communications. This can be useful when using 3rd party RS-232 to fibre converters, radio link devices or similar. It is also possible to convert the PC RS-232 communications to RS-485 so that a longer run can be made from the PC to the controller. Should the communications be converted into RS-232 for use across a 3rd party link, it would be necessary to convert it back again to RS-485 on the other side of the link for the controller communications to work.

  • Converts the SDC-550 Multiple Door Controllers RS-485 communications into RS-232 and visa versa.
  • When used to convert to a 3rd party link, signal must be converted back again into RS-485 using another SSI-320-232 board.
  • Requires 12Vdc power source.
